What Will Apple Announce Next Week?

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iPhone SE 4 is the most likely product to be unveiled at Apple’s event next week. Rumors suggest that the new budget smartphone will feature a larger display than its predecessor, a USB-C port, support for Apple Intelligence, and the A18 chip.

Apple’s new device might be named the iPhone 16E, signaling a major shift in the company’s budget phone lineup.

New MacBook Air, iPad Air, and budget iPad models are also expected to debut at the February 19 event. Gurman noted that MacBook Air and iPad Air stocks are running low at many Apple stores, a common sign that an upgraded version is on the way.

These devices are expected to feature newer processors, including the M4 chip for the MacBook Air, the M3 chip for the iPad Air, and either the A16 Bionic or A17 Pro chip for the 11-inch budget iPad. However, Gurman mentioned that the Mac or iPad lineup might be released later, as there isn’t much concrete information yet.

Apple may also introduce a new smart home hub at the event, though mass production isn’t expected until the second half of 2025. This aligns with Apple’s typical strategy of unveiling products well before their official launch.

The Home Hub is rumored to resemble the HomePod but with a 6-7 inch display, an A18 chip, and Apple Intelligence support. According to Gurman, it could be placed on a tabletop or mounted on a wall.

Previously, Gurman stated that the Home Hub would be “Apple’s most important product of 2025,” representing a significant leap in smart home technology.

An upgraded version of the AirTag is also likely to be announced next week. New features may include an improved anti-theft speaker, a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip with tracking range up to three times farther, and enhanced interaction with the Vision Pro headset.
